hi, i'm new in this site. i have googled but stil have some questions about mpeg-7. my first question is where i can get sample mpeg-7 files, is there any library or how can create new mpeg-7 files ?
i searched that there are lots of descriptors about mpeg-7 (motion, color, texture). is there any library or program for to have this descriptors ?
thanks.
Hi Sercan,
example files are very rare in the internet that is also my impression. For me a good starting point was to read the Book Introduction to MPEG-7: Multimedia Content Description Interface, Wiley & Sons 2002.
If you are familiar with XML-Schema, take a look at the MPEG-7 Schema files freely available from the ISO websites: http://standards.iso.org/ittf/PubliclyAvailableStandards/MPEG-7_schema_files/ and use an xml editor of your choice to create your own example documents.
And of course, the standard documents itselves are a very good information source, but they are unfortunately not freely available.
Best,
Felix
You may find some samples in the conformance part of MPEG-7 which is publicly available at http://standards.iso.org/ittf/PubliclyAvailableStandards/. Just search for documents with 15938 which is the official standard's number given by ISO/IEC in order to find all publicly available MPEG-7 standard documents.
Best regards,
-Christian
